APM Terminals and the AL State Port Authority have a $525 million public-private partnership. The Port of Mobile is less than 3 hours from open sea, and by 2024, the draft will deepen to 50 feet and widen to 600 feet, accommodating any vessel in the world.
Alabama Department of Commerce offers a Port Credit, a one-time Alabama state income tax credit to eligible manufacturing, warehousing, or distribution shippers using a publicly owned Alabama port.
